Features of Terminal Preferences.
The Terminal application in Mac OS X Jaguar now has enhanced
preference controls. Under the "Terminal -> Window Settings..."
menu item you can control:
- Shell
- Control how the window behaves when exiting the shell.
- Processes
- Control if shell exists when certain applications are running.
- Emulation
- Customize the behavior of key strokes. For example, can set option+
click so
you can click the cursor into position in the window.
- Buffer
- Set buffer size and line wrapping.
- Display
- Set cursor appearance, font type and size, and language encoding.
- Color
- Set Terminal window colors for the background, cursor, normal and bold text.
Also set the transparency of the window.
- Window
- Set dimension and title of the window.
Each Terminal window can be set separately or all windows set by clicking
on the "Use Settings as Defaults" button.
