How Do I Setup Outlook Express to Check My Statistics E-mail?

1. Open Outlook Express from the Start Menu > Programs > Outlook Express

   

   If you've never used Outlook Express before, skip to Step 4.

2. Go to the menu "Tools" > "Accounts..."

   

3. Select the "Mail" tab. Then click the "Add..." button, then select the item "Mail..."

   

4. A Wizard will open, which allows you to enter your information (name, e-mail address, incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, account name, password)

   • Display Name: Your name
     

     

   • Email address: Your Statistics account username followed by @stat.ucla.edu

     

   • Incoming Mail Server Type: POP3
     Incoming Mail Server: mail.stat.ucla.edu
     Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.stat.ucla.edu

     

   • Account name: Your Statistics account username. It is the username before the @ sign in your email address.
     Password: Your Statistics account password

     

5. That's it! Click Finished on the next screen and you're done.
