How Do I Setup My Email Program to Check My Statistics Email?

1. To setup an email program to access your Statistics Email, use the following generic settings:

   • Username: Statistics account name. The name preceeding the @ sign in your e-mail address
   • Email Address: Statistics account name followed by @stat.ucla.edu. Ex: bruin@stat.ucla.edu
   • Mail Server (Inbound): mail.stat.ucla.edu
   • SMTP Server (Outbound): smtp.stat.ucla.edu
   • Mail Protocol: POP or IMAP
   • Secure Connection: Supported protocols are CRAM-MD5, Kerberos and APOP

2. You may also want to enable these settings, if they are available:

   • Save password
   • Make this your default mail application
   • Leave mail on server (Only if using POP)
